Does that include green beans?Uncooked beans of any sort. Eggplant. And too much of any one thing can be toxic, like peas, or clover, alfalfa, which are fine in small quantities are bad if fed too much at once. Raw soybean (edime) is bad as it must be heat treated.
Cant think of more right now...
Thanks for the idea - I never thought about raisins.I give mine raw oatmeal as a treat in limited quantities out of my hand. It's one of their favorites. Raisins are their favorite. No way I'm feeding them raisins out of my hand, it's too scary the way they react. They will eat dried mealworms if I throw them in the run but aren't fond of them. Their crumbles mixed with water is a big hit too. I use it to get them back to the run after their freerange time.
Mine treat raisins in the same way that they treat bugs or worms -- they hold it in their beak and run around cheeping like mad almost like "I got it! I got it! I got it!" -- which, of course, raises the attention of all the other chicks, who give chase and try to take it from them. Thanks for the idea - I never thought about raisins.
