So out of curiosity how many trees you one need to tap to make a gallon of syrup? I’ve never made it or really even thought about it. But reading this thread is making me consider doing it next year. It’s far to late to get started here this year.

I want to do 70 this year.hoping to head out one of these days and flag the trees i plan to tap.
planning to do maybe 10 taps this year, see how it goes and then expand as needed.
