Trees! Wonderful Trees!

I absolutely love trees. I always have. Thank you for sharing your photos. You made my day a bit brighter.

Trees are one of our greatest natural resources. I go on a camping trip in the BWCA every year.... not a sissy first lake trip... a deep country bust your ass trip, I know the location of some remnant stands of virgin red and white pine. I'll try to get pics next year. Like walking into a cathedral.

Our forests provide us with an endless supply of building materials and other products when properly managed. They provide jobs for millions of American workers and pump money into our economy as one of the few things we are net exporters of. They heat our homes, shade ourselves and our livestock, block the biting winter wind, moderate extreme temperature and humidity swings, scrub pollutants from the air, and provide infinite recreational enjoyment. Truly one of Gods wonders.

Anybody else really hate those tree faces people nail up to "beautify" their trees?

I like the pics too and I think the reflective water collected on the tree leaf is really neat. I could gaze at it for a long time...stuff like this can take you away, can't it?

i was so dissapointed when we moved into this house becuase we have not one single tree in our yard! i love a yard full of trees! didnt get a chance to plant any this year so next spring im going to planting atleast 3 apple trees

theoldchick,
superb pictures,am especialy liking the perspective of this one:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/57171_img_7336.jpg and this one: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/57171_img_7281.jpg because of the wave like patterns in the bark.
if are not in one already, perhaps shoud look into joining a photography club as the serious clubs often put members work up in galleries.
have been in one for learning disabled people before and work was put up in a local gallery but was not there long before it was disbanded.

nice to read other folks descriptions of the photos and trees in general as it puts own thoughts into words of trees- have never been able to put into words why am visualy drawn to look at trees-am tranced by perfect ordered rows of them, weird patterns, bendy looking shapes etc.
