Uggg....already over 80 with high humidity. Took the girls for a quick early stroll before work. They do love hunting for moths in the grass. Wet dew laden wings make them easy prey! Ran into that stray cat again. Girls had it cornered against the neighbors garage. Had to call off the hounds, whoops, meant turkeys. I can tell they think they are tough...flexing those wing muscles and all. This is the third time they've encountered this poor cat. They really have their bluff in, and they know they can intimidate it. I need to get rid of Mr. Cat. Doesn't appear he has a home. Don't want him to get brave. My turkeys would squeal like the little girls they are.

Kathy...did you catch your hen??

So....its a bit before 6:00 and already over 80. Want to get the girls out for an early stroll before it gets to hot for me. But they are still asleep! What bums! Wonder what they did last night...BOSS party with the chickens? These late nights need to stop! But to be fair it is just barely light. So another cup of coffee for me, then I'm rousting them off their roosts.

Whew! Got my party birds off their roosts & out front for wet winged moths. Yum! Also watered the stuff in the front. Can be a challenge when your birds love to play in the hose. Very nice older couple strolled by & spent a lot of time with the girls. Even Annie had fun untying her bright yellow tennis shoe laces. They live on a different street so had not met the birds yet. They enjoyed learning about the girls & the girls rather liked them. Watered the back also. Daisy follows the hose & eats wet wing things. Smarty. Annie retired to her bench roost to preen out the dust from her bath. Nice morning....but going to be brutal today. Glad every thing got a nice drink & the girls are ready for naps.
