Ralphie...my turkeys saunter. Never in a hurry for much. My chickens always seem to march around with determination....my turkeys saunter.
And yes...I determined the turn ratio of a turkey hen as to preserve their tail feathers going in and out of their nest boxes. Wanted to avoid tattered tails. It worked. They have beautiful tails. All based upon ADA requirements for handicapped accessibility.
Yes Memphis is the SOUTH! The St. Louis area does not have the southern flair Memphis does. Although both are comparatively hot & humid. Memphis, by the way, has a MUCH milder winter.

I too am waiting to hear the fate of the little Dingleberry. Also, did any Elderberry's ever hatch out??

Next door they are renovating a house. They just spread some extra dirt in the front yard. The girls immediately eyed the dirt patch. Then promptly dove in for a bath. Contractors started arriving for work. Girls didn't care. Contractors must have spent 20 minutes just watching the girls. They really got a kick out of watching the goofs taking a dirt bath. Lots of pictures were taken. But they were uber impressed when I called them & they hopped up & followed me to the backyard. I maintain they are better trained than most of the dogs in my neighborhood. Most people don't understand why they don't run/fly away. LOL!!
