Sure hope Angelica gets well.
Daisy tweaked her ankle the other day & limped for a whole 5 steps & I was ready to take off work & hold her wing in sympathy. If I have an issue with a dog, my vet is great....but one of my turkeys...I get a little freaky knowing medical help is in short supply. Even our local avian vet admits to knowing zip about turkeys. Give him a parrot or raptor, hes fine...but ask him about your turkey & you get a blank stare. He's actually married to a friend of mine & I'm always teasing him about getting up to speed on turkeys....

59 degrees here this morning! Brrrr! Alas, its temporary. Going to be back in the high 80's through the weekend & next week.

Took the girls for a stroll last night. Poor Annie has quills for a tail. Daisy's tail is grown out about a third of the way. Annie is looking a bit like Sweet Pea. Patches of quills. Little worried about what the neighbors think. They look so bad & most don't know what a molt is. Annie is grumpy as all get out! Daisy, not so much. My chickens are all bald too & have lost their little minds. Coping at night is always easy except for when they molt. They scatter around the yard. My turkeys don't act like nutcases while molting....but boy....my chickens go crazy.

I too am a fan of Gold Nuggets. And am extremely jealous of R2elk.

Annie is having a rough molt! She tried to bite her sitter who came over to help me with something in the yard. She was wearing her red tennis shoes tho. I just grabbed her, bundle of quills that she is, & deposited her in their run. Daisy, (still in the no touch zone), was horrified. I yelled at Annie & swooped her up....Daisy flapped & ran. Then flew back to us. She stuck tight. I never get mad & yell...I think I scared her.

Sure hopes she recovers Aurora.

Got a chance to see Airforce 1 land today in MEM. Happened to be out on the ramp. Third time I've seen it. Its always impressive. Would love to see the inside.

Annie still being a grump. Daisy starting to look great. She has a little patch of very dark grey feathers, the size of a thumbprint, right on top of her head. Looks like shes wearing a little beret. Glad to see its growing in really dark this year. I think it's cute.

Handsome boy PolarBerry! R2elk is right about the fencing. Daisy has flown over my garage. She can just hop on top of a 6' fence. Funny... Daisy likes to fly... Annie has NEVER flown. I wonder if she realizes she can fly. Daisy likes to fly about 4 feet off the ground the length of the yard. I think just for the fun of it. It impresses the neighbors when she does that in the front yard. If she gets too far from me while aimlessly grazing, she will fly back to me when I call her. She " comes" better than most of the neighborhood pet dogs. It sure is impressive to see such big birds go airborne. But, I'm easily impressed!
