The original poster checked out the ingredients in different feeds until she found a feed that contained the extra ingredients in the amounts recommended. Here is her original post.

You have to get used to getting rid of turkeys. You cannot keep all of the turkeys that you have in addition to all the poults that you are going to hatch.
Read the link about how diet can affect turkey temperament. It's worth the read...

As breeding season approaches, I'm finding tom behavior interesting. It minds me more of my dogs than my chickens. I guess because it's a seasonal thing with turkeys. My roosters just merrily hop on hens all year long. But as the season approaches, it's so interesting to see how the Tom's behavior is spooling. Just musing here, still on the learning curve.

Meanwhile I did dig out some of my dog agility equipment. Once the birds get over its presence, I swear I'm teaching the turkeys to run a course!

Ralph...my family has me under close observation! I'm actually working with a young dog, hence a few agility pieces. Turkeys are fascinated. Might as well train one of them along with the dog....

Keeping my fingers crossed for Ginger & Penguin. Hope goes all goes well for them!

Ralph, you'll have pens for JJ & Sidekick. Ginger & Penguin are gone. I guess Porter is remaining a bachelor. Don't you have another slate tom?

R2elk...do you separate your tom's into breeding pens too? Or do you just have one guy, or two, with all the girls?

That was several years ago when I worked on that airport. I built a heavy maintenance facility. I'm an architect specializing in aviation. I just remember enjoying the Mall of America. There was one Italian place we loved eating at. Name escapes me now.

Holm...sounds like you got a real jive turkey!

Interesting that someone wants only black. But how nice that you have someone who wants only black!!
