Wow. Poor guy. He's lucky to be alive. That could have been a deadly situation. Breaking up dog fights is serious business.

Just tucked in my hens for the night. :) They were waiting for me on the back porch rail. Plucked Annie off the rail & carried her to the coop. She snuggles her head down the neck of my jacket. Daisy hopped down & followed me. She's so full of pins I don't dare touch her. Poor girl. I had to chuckle at them...they look like a couple of Butterballs sitting on the rail.

Ralph, how is it going with Ethel Jr? Are you trying to spend time with her each day?

I believe that some do. My slates seem to lay an egg with some blue color to them while the eggs laid by the royal palms that I had did not have that blue on them.
Thanks R2elk. Annie (BR) lays the standard looking speckled egg. But Daisy's eggs are almost white with faint spots. Just made me wonder if there was a color difference between breeds. Like chickens.

Aurora, you may wake up to a whole flock of early birds!

Got home early enough to take all the girls for a walk. Most of our daffodils have flower buds on them. Well...they used to have buds. It's apparently flower buds are a turkey delicacy. :(

Got back home about an hour before bedtime. Locked all the girls into their yard. Daisy kept pacing the fence doing that loud turkey chirp. It was killing me. Finally let her & Annie into my yard to hang out. I'm a push over. And Daisy is playing me....:/
