That's going to be a task. Luckily I found a guy here in Ste. Gen with experience working on historic homes. He did the bulk of the renovation. But I sure did my share! I enjoy working on the house. Fire is my worst nightmare with this place. It would be impossible to rebuild. Huge logs and framing. You can't even find those type of materials anymore. I hope things go well with the rebuilding. You need to keep us posted on your progress.

Wow, didn't realize Porter was so huge! I think his belly button behavior is just due to his age & running with delinquents! She needs to take him alone for a few weeks and he will bond!

COFFEE...do it...you won't regret it! Turkeys can be amazing pets! Like Ralphie, I too would chose my turkeys over my chickens if I had too. And I love my chickens! There is nothing better than your" lapper" falling asleep in your lap!

Ralph. ..I would assume JJ & Ethel, since they were found living under a house, did not have the proper nutrition as poults. Are any of your other tom's as big as Porter?

Coffee....turkeys have such unique personalities that we developed a Turkey Temperament Scale. Several of us got our turkeys as teenage birds and they have bonded easily. Mine are better behaved than my chickens!

Geez, giving Aurora the go ahead to hatch could be dangerous! I love it! Feisty, that's pretty funny! Your poor DH had no idea!

Got home in time to spend time with the flock! Lots of flapping, barking and trilling! The turkeys helped me unload the van. And in the middle of it all Daisy laid an egg. My chicken sitter & I were standing by the van chatting & she just came up between us & dropped an egg.
