JR....Daisy has a REAL feathery head. Including a little dark patch right on top. Looks like she's wearing a toupee!

Ralph, when you started talking about Sidekick, I had the same thoughts ... that he's moving up the chain of command. Poor guy. I too agree with you guys...turkey needs all the fixings! However, there is always the option of roasting the bird & carving for sandwiches and making soup. I like the taste of turkey & do that sometimes with a small bird. I just freeze the slices & extra soup. I freeze in individual portions.

Yeah Daisy's little toupee is kind of cute. When I first got her I kept watching all those tiny little facial feathers thinking they were some kind of bugs. Took awhile for me to determine she just has a fuzzy face. Annie has nowhere near the facial hair. But she does have a beard & that one spur thingy. I need to get a picture of that.

I got no rooster. But I sure love my SS. My old girl lays about every other day at seven years old.

Jr. doesn't look too upset Ralphie. He's got potential!!

I've come to the conclusion Daisy likes little kids. She has her little six year old buddy down the street but yesterday a friend brought her two granddaughters over & Daisy let them pet & hug all over her. They sat down on the deck steps & she pushed in between them & just let them fuss with her. Annie is a bit more standoff-ish...but had to eventually go inspect their shoes.
