Feedman, Ralphie....just saw the weather radar & was hoping you guys were ok. Sorry about the damage Feedman. We had straight line winds here a few years ago. Took us an hour to chain saw our way to a dog pen with one of my dogs in it. Wind like that is scary. We are getting the tail of the same storm. Coming through later tonight. Its weirdly warm, I'm sure we are in for it...

Feedman....looks to me your lucky to loose only a few chickens. What about those quail? Poor little things....

And Ralph....your lucky too....

We got the same line of storms last night...or this morning...wind actually woke me up. But no damage. Not sure if you saw that line on radar.....it was huge...

Finnie....no idea if that bator is a good deal or not....I'm still jealous your getting Cuddle babies!

Darn Ralph, was hoping for pics of poults. You might be right about about the time of year being a factor. Annie is steadily laying & Daisy hasn't laid egg one yet. And we had azaleas blooming in February. As a gardener, that rather rocked my world. Its been such odd weather. I'm so thrown off by this weather I'm surprised I have anything laying....

But my old SS is actually steadily laying! She's laying two days in a row, then a day off.

Aurora....I've never flown Southwest. However, I actually worked on the Denver airport. Not the passenger terminal, but most of the cargo buildings & aircraft maintenance facilities. I was part of the team that relocated everything from the old Stapleton out to the new airport.

I don't know if Southwest is using just one terminal or not. When changing planes, if your staying in the same terminal 55 minutes will be ok. If you have to change terminals, wear your running shoes!!

Loving the worming talk. I haven't wormed my girls either. They all seem fat & happy. Even my old 7 year old SS who is still laying a few eggs a week. She's amazing!

Kathy.....and I thought I had worms!! Wow! My chickens scratch around for them. And of course have a field day after a rain! The turkeys will eat one if they notice one, but they prefer to graze on plants. Actually, my turkeys aren't as ambitious as the chickens when it comes to foraging. They prefer to follow me around sticking their beaks into everything I'm doing.
