Yeah email is good. Unfortunately I find myself with several different...business, foundation, personal. And all I want to do is sit on my yard with a turkey on my lap. Oh well....
Speaking of turkeys....Annie's molt is coming along. Loosing big wing feathers now. Her tail is almost back. Daisy suddenly completely quit laying....she may be next in line to molt!

Had the heck scared out of me this morning. Let the birds out early. Was out in the back of the yard gathering the last bit of debris from Harvey, it's trash day today. Had a hand full of sticks and walked across the yard to the trash bag. All birds were on my heels. Annie making a weird clucking. Walked back across the yard, all birds under foot. Turkeys making clucking sounds. Then I noticed two pit bull type dogs in my garden area trying to get through the fence to me & the birds. I had left the gate to the driveway open. They ran away quickly when confronted by a screaming banshee brandishing a rake. You'd think I would have learned to pay attention to my turkeys when they exhibit weird behavior. They never lie about potential threats.

The reason that gate was open was my fault. I had been hauling debris to the curb. Normally I'm religious about closing it. But the turkeys were trying to alert me & I was ignoring their behavior.

Some hints... liver was normal color, but quite small. Gizzard was kind of squishy.
