Friend of mine outside of Boston raises Bourbon Reds, has them processed, then sells them to all the yuppies in the Boston burbs for a handsome profit. They only raise about 20 a year.

No power...no water...hate that. This weather is playing havoc on systems here. Even parts of Florida are down in the teens. I heard, somewhere, the average temp in the States was 11 at one point yesterday.

My turkeys are so puffed up they look like football linebackers walking around.

I actually took the hat off & showed it to them. Once they beaked it a few time they were ok. I bent over to put it back on. Once they checked it out & watched it go on my head they were fine. But boy they were barking their beaks off when I first showed up with it on my head. Such funny girls. You sure can't get away with anything around them. They are highly observant. My chickens didn't even notice the hat....

Normally Daisy doesn't care what I wear. Flora however, is obsessed by shoes, painted fingernails and jewelry. My friends are now used to her messing with their shoes, show her their nails and don't wear jewelry to my house. She's not obnoxious, just likes to check out these particular things.
