I remember when Romeo romanced the Girl Scouts! Kids sure do love a turkey! In my neighborhood the kids are bugging their parents for a turkey instead of a puppy! LOL! Is that a little chicken sunning itself in the middle of that pile'o turkeys? Too cute! Flock is sure colorful Aurora!!

We are having a break in our normally horrid summer weather. Been out hitting the yard pretty hard. Totally missed the call from the guy with the two toms. Darn. He did text me a photo of the two toms quietly sitting in the back of his truck cab on their way to Memphis. I don't have permission to post it, but it was pretty funny.

Mine get to stick their beaks in a container of BOSS when they go into their coop at bedtime. So they pretty much just get a beak full. But they expect their snack & trot right into the coop & wait for me. It's easy with just a few birds, can't imagine doing that with a larger flock.

I did talk to the Turkey guy! He has a BR & RP plus some young Bronze. He got poults in an effort to get a hen ,& thinks they are all boys. He DID want to come over with his boys to meet Daisy. Won't do that! He offered to let one move in with her! He really wants babies. Besides the biosecurity issues...I'm not sure how Daisy would react to that. Especially right now with the poults she mothers. But I did tell him I'd like to come see his birds. Oddly...his bourbon doesn't fly....like Annie didn't fly. His Royal Palm apparently flies all over the place. Turned him on to Porters site. He does love his boys. They are lappers too. It was fun to talk to someone else who values his birds as pets.
