Counter surfing! Good luck Shaw. Mine KNOWS its forbidden....yet if I'm not looking...
And they have a tremendous reach with those front legs.
R2elk....remember when Uno the beagle won at Westminster? Friend of mine bred/owned him. Illinois bred dog. Hunted too! Boy was he a nice guy! I really like beagles. But they are barky. There are 2 sizes....13 inch & 15 inch. The 13 inch are too cute. They look like little stuffed toys as babies.

Went out to put the girls to bed last night & the three goofballs were standing at the garage eyeballing it. Ha! Caught them just in time! There is a wood bench along the path by the garage. Iris & Marigold started toward the coop. Blossom hopped on the bench & gave me side eye. Just had to sit next to her & give her a good pet. She's really turning into a sweetie. She had to tell me all about her day too. She hasn't jumped into my lap yet....but she's getting close. She'll lean on me. She's getting there!! Iris & Marigold are friendly too....but Blossom is really blatant about demanding attention. Just love me a turkey hen!!!

Dogs have been a big part of my life. I'd feel odd without one!

I'm getting to the point that I'd feel weird without a turkey lapper! Gardening is a solo activity for me, and now I'm used to the girls being a part of that. Or just taking them for their evening stroll, or just chilling out with Daisy asleep in my lap. All goofy little things....but would sure miss them....

Christmas is just around the corner. Can't believe it. Are y'all ready? I guess I am. Luckily my friends & I tend to get together for dinner or lunch. We banned presents years ago. None of us need the little chotskies. We have to much junk as it is! But spending time together is precious. So in Memphis is several rounds of lunches & dinners. Most of my friends are becoming grandparents. They are sure enjoying the little kids at Christmas. I have two nephews. A CPA & a scientist. Both in their late 20's. Sure was easier spoiling them at Christmas when they were kids. These days....its hard figuring out what to do for young professionals. I got them hockey tickets. They are big fans. Picked out a game for each one....four tickets each so they can take friends. Ordered them on line. Ordered a few things for my sister & brother in-law. So my shopping concluded over a month ago. Never stepped into a store. I rather miss the hustle & bustle of Christmas shopping...NOT!! I'm down to baking. I'm in charge of deserts. I make a famous tiramisu. Seriously....it will make you slap your momma. Never any left. And if there is my sister & I grab a few spoons, sit on the couch & finish it off. Our little Christmas tradition. And I'll do an apple crisp. One fun thing is that we decided to do a pretty casual & easy Christmas meal. I actually bring Memphis bbq up to St. Louis. We add tater tots & mac & cheese. Plus a few other things. It's so easy & the guys love the bbq. By the time Christmas hits, both my sister & I are "fooded-out". So easy is our gig. Y'all have any fun Christmas traditions?

Most dogs will kill a bird. No matter the breed. It's just instinct. As far as bite goes....the Retrievers can have soft mouths. Hounds do not. Usually full mouth bite. Herding dogs are interesting. My Aussies pinch with the front of their mouths. Don't wanna hurt that live stock. But then you don't want to get bit by a Malinois. Usually depends on what the dog was bred for. Terriers are bred to bite & hang on. But the worst....and I seriously mean this...are fear biters.
