Hawks are part of the reason I'm going with that breed actually. The gent I got my original eggs from said they would go toe to toe with a hawk, and in 5 years he's not lost one yet.

I lost some of my favorite bantam and Serama chicks to hawks this summer. If I saw a hawk take any wild animal I'd probably think "what amazing bird" instead the thought was "I need something scary!"

I'm so excited to have some little dinosaurs walking around here.

Currently I'm the top bidder for some Tomaru eggs from the same breeder of my O Shamo eggs. If I get outbid (hoping I do now!) my wife has approved more O Shamos! If not the next batch with be long crowers!
I know most people wouldn't like this, but I really like roosters.

I often find myself just using the watch tab at the top of the page to follow threads. Halftime when I click on them there's at least four or five threads I didn't realize had new post.

I'm not sure how it all works. . but if you haven't been on a thread for a while you won't get the alerts. I just go to my watched thread list to see what's up. I only look at alerts to see if I have any tags.

That's pretty much what Ido too. You follow enough threads, those alerts just all blend in together.
