Alright folks, I've got a question. At 15 days, does this egg look like it's stopped progressing? There's more passable light than the remaining eggs.

I was able to see live movement in both the O Shamo eggs that are left!
:ya

Hmm, thats a tough one, im not really sure, could we get some different "angles"? Could you get some pics with the eggs air sac down, on the candler?
Sure thing! Sorry about the light bleeding. I've been using my cellphone to candle as my case forms kind of a nice cup, but it's also my camera.

That egg doesn't look good to me. No veins. The shape inside doesn't seem quite right or the correct size. Hopefully I'm wrong.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too. It doesn't stink at this time, so I'm letting it stay for now. I'll be honest, this is not nearly as straightforward as I thought it was going to be.

Lol, normally I take experienced advice as gold, this time I'm hoping your wrong too.

It does get better. I've been hatching, small batches (up to 3 dozen)
for about 2 years in a cheapy Styrofoam 'bator. Much less than most on here. It's been a heartbreak and a joy. My candling has gotten much better the more eggs I've seen. Different colors, sizes, porous, ages and species. All add significantly to your chain of knowledge. Even the duds.

One thing I do know is that I'm very grateful for the community we have here. If I was doing this by myself in the dark, I would have gone crazy by now.

Thinking of treating myself to some eggs for my birthday.

I've currently got these "Blue Noble" American game in my sights.

There are also some more O Shamo eggs, but they're a bit above my budget at the time. If I can manage to swing it though, they are what I'd prefer. Not to mention, they come from a stock of giants! Even if that lady is short, that's a big'ol chicken!

That's a crazy huge bird!! I wonder if a hawk would even attempt that. :gig

I just want to scare the pee out of kids on halloween. Oh oh oh... Maybe train them to sit on the edge of the house like a gargoyle. That would freak thte neighbors out for sure.

Hawks are part of the reason I'm going with that breed actually. The gent I got my original eggs from said they would go toe to toe with a hawk, and in 5 years he's not lost one yet.

I lost some of my favorite bantam and Serama chicks to hawks this summer. If I saw a hawk take any wild animal I'd probably think "what amazing bird" instead the thought was "I need something scary!"
