I'm so happy for you. This is turning out to be a great little first hatch!
Thanks! This is making me feel like a child again. I love it! :)
Yes, the poop looks normal
Thank you again.
I've never heard of a laughing chicken. Those are so cool!!! Have they been imported to the US?
I'm not really sure to be honest. It's not a specific breed but more of a classification from what I can tell. I'm not really sure what breeds in particular besides the Ayam Ketewa that laugh. I've not been able to find them, though I've not looked at specialty places like GFF. I'm not able to afford the price most of those places charge. I will however let you know if I do find some.

We have the first O Shamo external pip!
:celebrate
It's on the pointy side though. Anything I should consider in regards to it?

I just recently had a hatch where every egg that hatched except for one, all pipped somewhere that they shouldnt have, and they all came out without any assistance. But as im sure you already will, just keep your eye on it.

At this point I can't get my eye off of it! :lau
Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. I sure am having fun with this little fluffy one, so freaking cute! :love

If you're interested in Greenfire chicks without the price tag check out this site. It's where they sell their surplus chicks. Usually at significantly lower prices than their website. Including those Ayam birds you mentioned. It's an auction site so some luck is required but still plenty of deals to be had.

You better hope my wife never meets you!
Me in the other hand, I'm wondering if you could use a roommate.
:lau
I didn't know about that site, but now I have another place to keep me busy during my day. I'm a stay-at-home Dad, so you might be able to imagine how much time I could spend there staring at auctions.

In all seriousness, thank you. It's pretty awesome.

I'm totally an enabler. It's a sick habit. But it was fitting payback for the spendy Marans eggs I just bought after following your thread here. Incubating really is the best. I've been doing it for a couple of years and it's never lost its shine. Each one is just as egg-citing.
