Trin broody hen's beak?

There is no vein there. It's thin enough and pale enough to see through. I may try to clip it tomorrow. I don't want to stress her out but I think it looks like something I could do without moving her if she'll let me.
If she's a fairly calm bird and is used to being handled, she may fuss but hopefully get over it quick.
Might be better to do it after dark if you've got a helper.... or a good headlight.

My broody hen let me pick her up and she doesnt even like to be handled. She fussed and pecked me lightly but it didnt break her from setting. And I picked her up a least 6 times during her setting the clutch to check and candle eggs..
If your hen is already used to being handled, just do it quick.

I was able to clip it without picking her up. She pulled back a little bet was pretty cooperative. She looks much better now.
