So I’m really new to chickens so excuse me if this is a silly question or it’s already been answered somewhere in the thread - does double or triple yoke mean double or triple embryos, if they were to make it to hatching? Or just one with as much yoke as she can eat?

normally single yolks if fertile can make it to hatch, and you can see youtube for twin chick hatching videos. I set this egg with the 3 yolk, I was expecting to get some development pics. The 2 yolk embryos took over and some how consumed the 3, (the 3rd had sat at the bottom of the egg undeveloped, then the 2 embryos started to draw on it, and now it is gone.)

I was worried the 3rd yolk undeveloped would end up killing the egg, they found use for that yolk, I am hoping since the egg is so large, the chicks will make it to hatching and not be too crowded, also I am hoping they will not be mushy from having so much egg yolk to eat.
