Oh gosh, I've been skipping posts again sorry! Turns out I'm really bad at this regular updating thing... Anyways, here is Mr. Trooper, who will be 7 weeks old tomorrow...

By the lighter feathering and eye color, I now suspect that the egg he came out of was not from my heritage Rhode Island Red hen, but from one of the production Red hens I have... Because my Heritage Red Hen and Rooster have dark brown feathers and red eyes, and the production Reds have this light brown feather color... I was really hoping he was from the Heritage Reds, but I will put Molly (Heritage Red Hen) with Steve (Heritage Red Roo) again to try and hatch a second batch of only their eggs... Molly just started laying again after being broody....
