Tropical Chic sending warmth from Florida

Welcome to BYC. You definitely jumped in with both feet, so you'll be learning fast. My first suggestion would be to work on getting your new fuzzy peeps an outdoor home before the mess and smell drive you crazy! (Says the woman who had chickens in the dining room for three months this winter...) I used to show and train dogs as well as keep horses, but these days, we have one pasture ornament giant mini-donkey keeping the grass and weeds at by (as well as devising ways to get chicken feed). She has a partner in crime, a hair sheep ewe who also loves chicken feed but is much more creative at figuring out how to steal it. Your aquarium hobby sounds fascinating as well as intense. I hope you have great success as you venture into the very addictive poultry hobby too!

Thanks for the great welcome guys!

1) yes they are getting out of my house.
2) fish tanks have been my life for about 4 years now. Seahorses are the most boring thing about it. Lol.
3) for the dog people, I show in agility and conformation, and a little bit of herding. Started in field trials on a walking horse with pointers. Moved to obedience, then on to other sports. Thinking of expanding to flyball soon. Mostly border collies and shelties now.

@fldiver97 where do you dive? We are in Ocala. We are about to go to the keys with our reef club and do some collection. Hit blue heron bridge just to look and money key to find some zoas.

And as for my full plate, this is the first time in 7 years I have less than 4 jobs. So I am used to it. Lol. Immersion therapy.

I am currently pulling into Disney, I see several people requested photos, I will post later. Were you looking for tank photos? Well, I will just spam you all with chick and tank photos. Lol. And maybe my dogs.

Thanks everyone.

Oh, I have seen that pig before. Maybe in my after researching on a hatchery page!? Love the snout!

@Dogshowgrl - I used to live in Tampa. A lot of dives close to home, Upper Keys, annual liveaboard trip to the Dry Tortugas and the marine sanctuary, did the Great American Fish Count for a few years. Up and down the Coast in Florida. Bahamas always good for a few day getaway, just fly out of Ft Lauderdale. And believe it or not - Devils Den right there in Ocala :) . Especially during winter some fresh water diving, including Homosassa Springs, Weekee Wachee (had to check out the mermaid castle :lau). Also was a volunteer diver at the Florida Aquarium
