trouble duck

their diet is corn? that would explain it, they need duck feed and i give mine daily veggies and bugs as well to keep them strong and healthy
She eats all the tadpoles and vegetation and bugs out of the water that she could ever want. She does not just get corn. All the other ducks seem to be fine it is just her.

We have checked all over. Her poop looks like algae and duck poop. She keeps drinking and drinking. she is inside in a warm water tub. Her chest seems to be full of water. she will not eat. tried to force her and she pukes and drinks more water. She will not let us smell her breath. She puked and it smelled like pukish.
breath smells normal?? No smell

i would still get her normal duck feed, sooner or later it’ll affect them all and most likely they won’t live as long do to poor nutrients

Pictures of poop, how does her breath smell? Have you checked her body all over for anything out of ordinary?

Hard to tell what exactly is going on, but she needs to be brought inside, and set in a dimly lit area, that's warm, with feed and water provided. Keep her on towels, so you can better understand how her poops are looking. When she does poop, post a picture. You can try to keep her hydrated by dripping sugar water or an electrolyte like Gatorade along her bill.

If you could post a video of her, or a few pictures, that might be helpful.

I posted images of her side view and her poop. she tries to walk and has to hold herself up with her wings. she pukes water and drinks more water. she will not eat.

When she stands up she looks fine. then she shakes her head and pukes and puts her head down to her chest and her chest hangs way low and appears full of water.

Could be a lot of different things. Toxins, foreign body that’s stopping up her GI tract, etc. She definitely doesn’t look right. She looks thin, unthrifty. Probably partly because her diet hasn’t been complete.
Does she appear dehydrated even though she’s drinking a lot? (Eyes sunken, mucus membranes inside her mouth dry, that kind of thing). If not, I would be tempted to remove all edibles/drinkables for a few hours and see if her crop area empties some. Maybe she just overate all those tasty tadpoles but if she’s bringing stuff back up, things aren’t moving the way they’re supposed to. if it empties out some, then offer a small amount of water but don’t let her gorge on it. If she does ok with that, offer a little food.

I had a chicken that had a water balloon crop and I thought she had some sort of crop impaction, tried treating her, but she died and when I opened her up, she had a bunch of large rocks stuck between her crop and her gizzard. I couldn’t feel them because they weren’t still in the crop!

When you do offer food, have you tried soaking the crumbles/pellets with warm water? Sometimes that’s more palatable to them than boring, hard pellets. If you have something that she normally loves to eat, you can put a tiny amount on top of the soaked feed to try to entice her.

Thank you we will try this.
