Yeah, some do, and some are very persistent. Some don't care what you do, you can destroy, block, cover, whatever and they'll just start sitting someplace new, usually just a few feet away, but it sounds like your hen has accepted the fact that her nest is gone, so no need to worry.They will really sit on nothing? What do you do?

I had one turkey that was so broody she spent the day walking around the yard looking for chicken and duck eggs to sit on, which was a problem because she weighed 30 pounds and kept squishing the eggs.
