Trouble walking/standing

My 2 month silkie within the last 3 days is having trouble walking. Almost seems drunk. They’ve been outside for a couple weeks now. But sleep inside. She’s drinking but not really eating. I read it might be a vitamin def? Or Mareks? So sad.

Hi @RaeleneC , I’m sorry to hear you have troubles...

- is the vet an option?
- are they eating and drinking like normal?
- are they pooping like normal?
- can you upload a picture of them? Including their eyes?
- can you upload a video to YouTube or Vimeo and post the link here? So we can see their behavior?

Yes eating,pooping, drinking.. all normal. It won’t let me get close to take a pic of the eye but they seem brown. I noticed the wings are lowered, well compared to the other silkie.

She passed away this morning. I let the lady know who I got her from and she thinks it was cocci? I don’t know there, she could just be covering her a$$. I loved this baby!

o no, poor little thing! How awefull!
I’m sorry for your loss... for me, cocci is quite often the reason but also an easy reason to blame death on... if you suspect cocci, consider treating your complete flock ( I’m not an expert on cocci so I hope somebody else will confirm what I suggest here)
