I did it with a price scanner. It beeped really loudly... I dropped what ever I was checking the price for and ran.

The first time I used a price scanner at Wal-Mart, I flung the book I was scanning at it when it beeped.
I was not expecting it to be that loud.
But I broke it, so all was well.
