He had just disappeared for a couple days, which normally wouldn't really matter, but he had this really swollen eye. Like all behind and above it was terrible...we thought he had probably died because of that and being gone for days.

Yep, see above. That stinks...was he intact? Cuz sometimes the males just run off and come back like that. Just curious, how many cats do you have?

Nope, Cloud's fixed. The reason I suspect yotes is because I've heard them howling a lot recently in our woods, and he never disappears completely like this...
