My flock is having a very hard time.

Yesterday, one of my dogs got a chick that had escaped and it's in pretty bad condition. Then just a bit ago I found another one dead. I need these for my projects, this is super bad. I'm losing all of my cockerels. And I really liked them.

Add to all that the pox, I lost a chick to wet pox just a few days ago, a pullet will probably lose an eye to pox, another pullet was attacked by a stray dog but she's ok, molting, chicks escaping and I can't figure out where from....it's been a very hard month or so. I think God is teaching me a lesson I need.

Honestly, here's what happened:
We're snowed in.
We ran out of oil for heating our house.
We can't get more oil for two weeks.
Our power keeps flickering off.
And all of our individual spaceheaters have broken, except for one- which is used in my room, cause it's the smallest.
Therefore Mom slept in my room on a blowup mattress last night.
And, henceforth, I couldn't get on BYC...

So THAT'S why I got through all of my subs last night!

How are the chickens coping with all this?

I wanna donkey! Our neighbor has one. He's nice. Not breeds, they're mixes that I'm practicing breeding and genetics with....kinda hard to explain. :/
