Forthose of you who haven't heard, mom was stalking me latenight BYCing via email last night, and now she's going to take my phone and kindle when she goes to bed so i cant be up late. I'll have it during the day, but Mon-Thurs i wont be BYCing at all anyways, so..... Yeah. Y'all wont be seeing as much of me anymore.

Lets see.... We were talking about how i wouldnt ever cry over a dog unless i was mad at it, and then the subject of Bolt came up. Saeah doesnt like it cuz Bolt is a cartoon dog and is totally unrealistically drawn, and i dont like it cuz.... Well, read at your own risk. Its long.

*disclaimer* I was mad when i wrote this, and i tens to over react when I'm mad. None of this is directed at any one person.

Dogs don't die for their owners. Its dumb. Bantha fodder. Crap. NON EXISTENT. Thats one of the things that really ticks me off is when people say that "Oh my husky is an AMAZING guard dog!" Or, "Na, my LABRADOR RETREIVER is too "dumb" to chase chickens! He just sniffs at doves and stuff bla bla bla!"

PEOPLE HAVE LOST THE DISTINGUISMENT BETWEEN ANIMAL AND HUMAN. DOGS RULE OUR LIVES AND NEITHER OF OUR SPECIES REALIZES IT. PEOPLE GET BORDER COLLIES BECAUSE THEY'RE SUPER SMART AND "EASY TO TRAIN" AND EXPECT THEM TO BE WELL BEHAVED FROM DAY ONE!!! THEY GET PIT BULLS AND EXPECT THEM TO BE A VICIOUS GUARD DOG!!! THEY GET YORKIES AND DONT TRAIN THEM BECAUSE THEY'RE SO TINY "IT DOESNT REALLY MATTER"!!!! THEY EXPECT THEIR DOGS TO BEHAVE WHEN THE POOR DOG HAS NO BLACK AND WHITE RULES AND GUIDLINES. NO SOLID BORDERS. NO DEFINITE RULES. NOTHING CONSTANT.

I dont hate DOGS.....
I hate dog PEOPLE.

Which leads me up to why i hate BOLT.

Not because the dog's figure makes no sense.
Not because the storyline is kinda dumb.

But because that dog wouldn't have stayed behind.

No dog wouldve, save the well bred malanois that work in the military.

Every kid wants that kind of dog. The dog that really, TRULEY loves them, that listsns to every command they gove them, that follows them around but lets them be when they want to be alone, that would jump in front of a car for them, that is there for them to cry on when they had a bad day.

And....... I hate Bolt because i jwant a dog like that. I want a dog that isnt stupid. Thats got a brain and isactually loyal. I want a dog that has a job and knows what it is - to dowhatever the heck i want it to. I want a dog that practically speaks english, so i can say "CHASE EM OFF!!!" and they chase whatever i want gone OFF without hurting it, but without being friendly. A dog that can discern between friend and for and looks to me to decide that.

In my whole life ive only met ONE dog who i have no doubt would willingly die for her family.

One.

Millions of stories of valiant canines whi took bullets for their handlers. Who chased off robbers and woke up their sleeping masters when a fire was eating their home. Who didnt just bark,

But bit. Hard.




Movies like Bolt seduce people to the fake loyalty of dogs. No i wont deny that they do get attatched to their family, but your fat LAB isnt going to stick around if he can get out when a fire is burning your kitchen in the middle of the night. Hes going to RUN. Not gonna give a rip what happens to you. Hes going to go find another hand to feed him and eventually forget you ever existed.

I grew up being fed the lie of the "Majesty and power if animals". Horses, lions, dogs, you name it. People only see the good abd it always blinds them from the bad. The smell. The constant barking at leaves. The massive trip hazards theybecome when they lay down. And horses! I always thought that (basically) "you five a horse a carrot, and it would fight off a pack of wolves to save you." And, "All you need is to make a bond with them, and they'll suddenly understand everything."
No. No they dont. It's a lie in its purest form.




And that is why i hate Bolt. And horse movies BTW.

I just want to point out a few things... xD

Firstly, Bolt is an animated dog, who can talk. If you're looking for realistic dogs, don't even bother with Bolt.
Secondly, all dog breeds, and individual dogs, have different personalities. You can't just hate all dogs because a few dogs didn't turn out exactly the way you wanted. XD
Some dogs stay behind, some don't. It's all up to who they are and how they're trained. (Am I the only one who doesn't expect my dog to stick around in a fire, etc.? )
Thirdly, the main problem is people. They buy animals that they like the look of, but they don't bother to read up on the important stuff. Which leads to the dogs behaviour being "messed up", with confused loyalties.

I'm 1000% sure that a day with my dog, or some cute little puppies, would show you some hecking good doggos.
