22 year old buckskin Bashkir Curly mare.
14.2 HH trained Western & English
This little mare belies her age -- she's a good solid, reliable horse with a lot of go yet.
She would be best suited for advanced beginner/intermediate with a family that has some horse experience.
She was previously used in lessons, but prior owners realized that too many people tend to stress her, so she would do best with 1
or 2 people riding her. She's not the most affectionate horse until she gets to know you, then she'll "hug"you if you scratch her!
She has had some great training in the past and knows a lot! She is not suitable for jumping as she had an old injury.
She is healthy and 100% sound, not spooky and is great on trails with a lot of stamina.
Easy keeper: we give her a scoop of Senior Manna every day and feed her good, green local hay, usually by the Round bale and she eats at will.
We've been riding her with only a hackamore and she does fine. She's fun to ride, has a smooth gallop, and once her saddle is on, she gets right "down to business" and loves to go! We wouldn't sell her except that we're going to be traveling extensively and she deserves more attention.
