Tuesday night (a few hours old).

He was a true breech. Mom's water broke at 11:06 am on Tuesday; she was pushing and trying but nothing was happening so I went in at around 3 pm. For at least half an hour I was trying to get his hooves but I was afraid to tear her by doing it wrong...we got the vet and he was able to pull the calf out.

Cow is well but he isn't. Not able to stand. I'm milking the cow and bottle feeding/tube feeding the calf.

Oh yes, I understand that. But my chicks want to stick with the Mother and she refuses to watch them. They're the ones not ready.

Do you think all 18 year old kids think they're ready when mom and dad say it's time for them to live by themselves a little?

Nope. But chicks aren't kids, they can't carry a gun to protect themselves.
