when i set in egg in front of my hens sometimes they will push it under them and then walk awayi would share it on Chicken Behaviors and Egglaying but they are like "Why is that a problem?"

LOLHuh. That's weird. My girls have never done thatnow, they have tried to grab the edge of the box like its an egg, and make an attempt at sitting on it cuz they're so desperate to sit on an egg, but..... It hasn't worked yet

surprisingly i made a nest out of leaves and a few wood chips for Sunshine when she needed to lay and egg, and she used it

mine dont do that sooo.......They squat every time you walk past them
You have a rooster to keep them busy.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
