when i set in egg in front of my hens sometimes they will push it under them and then walk away

i would share it on Chicken Behaviors and Egglaying but they are like "Why is that a problem?"
"i wanted to share it...see if others did the same..."

Huh. That's weird. My girls have never done that :/ now, they have tried to grab the edge of the box like its an egg, and make an attempt at sitting on it cuz they're so desperate to sit on an egg, but..... It hasn't worked yet

My hens think i'm a rooster, a really tall one.
surprisingly i made a nest out of leaves and a few wood chips for Sunshine when she needed to lay and egg, and she used it

You have a rooster to keep them busy.
Peep thought I was a rooster. She absolutely hated any male chicken, but oh my goodness would that chicken follow me around!
