Troyergals Chat Thread!!!

Yeah. :) 4-H is also a powerful source of friends for me... I could count around maybe 20 kids who call me their "friend".... :/
My mom says a friend isn't a friend until you see eachother's houses.
So, going by that rule, I have 1....2...3 Friends! :th

Lol then that puts me at "going to each other's house friends"...0..0...0 yep 0 :lau
Looks like I'm gonna be building PVC tractors. Hmm

Oh my goodness let me know how that turns out. My mom mentioned me doing that... It's not a bad idea!

Nope, not at all. PVC is pretty cheap, the most expensive thing is gonna be the wire.

Hey Aaron! (I hope I spelled your name right! :) )

4-H is a massive organization throughout America for kids 8-18 involved in some sort of agricultural project- whether it be animals, gardening, farming, etc. There are individual clubs for each subject (Beef cattle, Dairy Cattle, Equine, Market hogs, Poultry, Dairy sheep, market sheep, Goats, Rabbits, Canines, Reptiles, Archery, Sewing, Community Service, Cooking, etc) within each county within each state. They meet up usually monthly to discuss your projects and plot out things we can do better to enhance your agricultural project. In the summer, there's usually a 4-H fair within your county and that's when you get to bring all of your animals/projects. There's showmanship, monthly demonstrations, oh, I could go on.....

Yup that's right! :)

Cool! How long have you been doing it?

5 years. I'm the president of two clubs (Poultry and Rabbit), the VP of the canine club, and the Secretary of Reptiles, Dairy sheep, and Archery. What are the other ones I'm in.... :idunno
Oh, yeah. Community Service and Felines :P
It's pretty cool. That's actually how I found out about BYC- one of my friends from Poultry Club told me about it, though they'd never imagined I'd become so obsessed!

You could be in the reptile one Aaron :P

I really like the design of the first one except I don't like the fact that there's not a wall where the coop part ends. I like the second because it's divided but it is going to be harder to put wire on.

I personally like the second one's design better, but, as you pointed out, the wire will pose a minor challenge...

Yeah. I was thinking if the supports were like 18" apart you could put the wire on that way but I think it would almost take more wire that way than to just run it crossways.

Last time I built a tractor (last summer), I had a serious problem with the supports caving in on me- even with the lightweight wire. I just put this all down on paper and indeed it sounds like you'll need more wire if you were to run it across the supports.... :idunno

Hmm.

I figured.
