Never had a speckled sussex, are they tame?

They can be, depends on how you raise them, just like any breed. My sister had some SS hens a few years back and they were pretty friendly. The roosters are supposed to be calm and non aggressive.

Well he should have at least 75 hens to choose from. I guess we'll see.

Cockerels can be total jerks though! Then they get better after a bit. In my experience, anyway.

They're purebred Katanyas (I think I'm spelling that wrong ) and I'm getting them as a donation from a pet-sitting client!!!! e
So I saved a chicken of his from a hawk a few weeks ago while we were at their farm WHILE THE HAWK WAS 5 FEET IN THE AIR. And then I found their lost dog- so I guess these guys are a sort-of reward!!!
Two lambs- I think he's giving me both females- two months from now!!!!!

Just put an OEGB in a pen with 50 hens and then judge an SS
