Just for a few hours, lol! That's crazy!!

Yeah! Yup, I've been thinking about putting them out with the other ducks, they spend all day next to them but then I have the problem of the water trough and ducklings as well as the goats (cause the goats and ducks share the pasture) trempling the babies. I'm tempted to catch my crestless Pekin drake and put him with her. If she wasn't crested I'd probably put the Swede or king Leon with her just for some color. King Leon on is my Mallard.

Yeah. Guess I'll just hatch more Pekins. I can always breed a none crested daughter to the Swede or king Leon or the new Pekin Swede drake. Besides I can sell Pekins for more.


I wouldn't mind a couple Mallard hens. I hear they lay greenish eggs. I think king Leon is the dad of that one duck.

Oh...I forgot to mention I put five eggs in the bator yesterday. Such a small hatch it's almost not worth it, but we're gonna have some people here around the hatch date and I thought it would be fun if they saw them hatch.

and I really really REALLY am going crazy with an empty bator and no fuzzballs

I might set some soon. (Which is why I want s drake with big Mama ) the rangers are six weeks old so another six to eight weeks and they'll be gone, think I might set when they hit about 8 or 9 weeks then they should be about ready to go when the ducklings hatch and I can sell now.

My sister thinks I set Willy nilly but I set after carefully figuring out when they hatch and when is the best time for them to hatch, say three days before the poultry auction. Or right after the rangers leave and the feed bill drops

Well the deed is done. Maybe she'll be laying fertile eggs in a couple days. I may just leave him with her for a couple days.
