Well, sounds like you did the right thing.
I'm so debating removing Hannah right now- whenever the chicks peek out from beneath her, she pecks them.What do you guys think I should do?
Just responded to that on Isabella's thread, lol! I'd leave her. Broodies do that ALL the time especially with young chicks, to get them back under. At least a day or two longer, and watch her. She'll probably do better when she's not inside in a little box, too. That can be stressful.

The pecks aren't hard enough to injure them- at least, not yet. I'm home all day today and tomorrow, so I'll keep an eye on her.
Another thing is, I just thoroughly surveyed the chicks for the first time and look what I found:
Could that eye never have opened or is that the result of a peck?
