Yeah. That's how it is here. Tons of rain, then nothing and we get low on water.

It makes sense! Ok. That's good! It's so hard to work on animals that aren't very tame or are scared.

No kidding. I tried to help Lord Farquack with his bumble foot last year and just keeping him in the water was hard enough! Not that he's super skittish he just doesn't like being picked up.

All our water for the house and ponds comes from our springs and well, so we have to really be careful with how much we use! lol

I can imagine! Most of my animals are pretty tame but don't like to be held. Since most aren't pets that's fine, but it makes it hard to treat them! Though one roo that had bumble foot was really good about letting me mess with him.

Could be either. It's prolly dead, though. You need to get it warm, just in case! Why can't you put it in the bator??

My mom is comepletely convinced it's dead for some reason and she doesn't even want to give it a chance, also she doesn't want it to stink up the house if it is dead. Although despite what my mom said, I maaaaaaayyy have put the chick in the incubator... the last thing I'd do is disobey my mom but it's a chicken emergency!
I once had this hermit crab that my mom thought for sure was dead but I managed to convince my mom to wait a little longer and a week later the hermit crab was acting comepletely okay!

I had ducklings that had pipped get to the mid 50s once (bator malfunction) and they were barley moving, I actually thought they were dead, but as soon as they got warmed up again they started acting normal. I got 18 out of 20 that hatch, my best ever. Stick it in the bator and give it a couple hours.

I'm going to leave it in the incubator for one or two hours and see if it has any sign of life after that.. the least I can do is not let the chick have too much time to stink up the house if it is dead. Also I don't want my sisters to see the poor thing when they get home. Do you think it's alright to leave the paper towel (that the chick is sitting on) in the incubator?

Update on Bella:
She is wanting food. I gave her a few drops of liquid children's pain reducer! She is walking around wagging her tail. We are trying to keep her comfortable as possible! She inside laying in her her own full sized bwd with a fan to keep her cool!

She is wanting food. I gave her a few drops of liquid children's pain reducer! She is walking around wagging her tail. We are trying to keep her comfortable as possible! She inside laying in her her own full sized bwd with a fan to keep her cool!

Does she have cancer or something? I think I missed something.

We don't know we took her to the vet and they didn't know without doing lab work and that cost a lot and we don't have the money right now. He told us to get weight in her and she isn't doing all that well. I've been giving her a few drops of liquid children's pain reducer and she looks happy now that her pain has eased!

We lost a dog to cancer, It'll be four years in September.
