I sold five three month olds and five three week olds. All crested. The three month olds were all females. The teens went for $10 a head and the ducklings went for $4 a head for a total of $70 which was enough to cover 6 chickens, a cage and the eggs. So really we only paid for the goat.

Wow, that is so cheap! Here (okay AK always expensive) So it is was just being sold for Culling or people just didn't think he had much?

I know here no matter the goat- breeding or Cull is the same price.

I see. Well I guess he was someones cull, there were 4 or 5 bucks, 4 or 5 nannies and a bunch of kids in his group. The thing is it's mostly order buyers at the auction so they like to drive the price up for each other (reason why goats were going for over $300 a couple month ago) but they'll back down if it's not an order buyer so if someone like me bids it pretty much comes to a stand still.
