Could be a Selenium deficiency.
Any idea of what might cause a late term abortion in goats? My sister thinks it is a deficiency.
Seems we keep coming back to this Selenium. That's what she thinks it is, she recently read that we have just about the lowest possible score on the map for natural selenium. Don't think Ben's tried that since he bred her after we got them.Could be a Selenium deficiency.
It can cause abortions, weak kids, still born, soft bones, etc.
Also sometimes if a goat is bred and the buck tries breeding again after the doe is already bred than it can cause abortions.
Hmm. Not loose no, they have a mineral block.I didn't mean to post to that yet... Had more to say!
Copper, magnesium, and Vitamin A, can all cause this to happen.
Do you keep loose minerals out for them?
OkDan, I will reply later... Gotta go shopping. -_-

.Well, I've got the taste of revenge in my mouth.
And its delicious. >=]
There's this mange-ridden fox that's been wreaking havoc in the whole neighborhood single pawed, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, and it got my precious Brucie Wayne while we were at church tonight.
I sic'ed Aspen on em.
Cornered the tricking thing in a pipe.
And dad had to shoot it TEN TIMES BEFORE THE STUPID THING DIED.
HE WOULD SHOOT DOWN THE PIPE, AND IT STARTED CRAWLING TOWARD HIM!!!!!
TOWARDS THE HUMAN, WHO WREAKS OF ADRENALINE AND GUNSMOKE AND DOG, AND WHO WAS POUNDING SHOTGUN SHELLS INTO ITS HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But he's dead now. And I am EXTREMLY happy. >=]
