Troyergals Chat Thread!!!

Uh, uh, uh....
Hmmmm.
  1. Be hypervigilant.
  2. Don't forget to lock them in at night. (Oh, wait..... I've done that. )
  3. Use ACV like it's water.
  4. Don't shut the windows on your house so you can dive out one if aerial attacks threaten.
  5. Keep a first aid kit in every single coop.
  6. Don't be afraid to lock them in early if you don't know when you'll be home. :p Even though they'll hate you.
  7. Distribute roosters evenly. They're the best guards I've ever had.
  8. Put a baby monitor in the middle of the yard and put the receiver under your pillow.
  9. Be obsessive with biosecurity. Like, "I just wore that pair of socks to my friend's house that had all of her chickens killed by a raccoon over a year ago- BURN THE SOCKS!!!!!"
  10. Don't listen to anything Sarah says. :D
I think 11 is funny!

I think it's happen at least twice.
That never happens to me... I stare in every direction that isn't occupied by a person. o_O

Any good at feather sexing?

Decent, it can be more difficult with pics tho. Thing is, it can only be done when the parents have the correct genetics. Cock pure for rapid feathering, hen for slow. The resulting males of the cross are slow feathering, females fast. So you check the wing feathers and if they are the same length, male. Primaries longer than converts, female.

Lol.
I really don't know if these pictures are any good. :p The first two hatched Saturday and those pics were taken yesterday. Third one hatched yesterday. Be just my luck if all three are boys. I guess I'd keep the rose comb then.
Bird one.

Aaaand I gotta go look at them again. XD

I need all my Christian buddies to pray for my best friend's younger brother, CJ. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday with a fever of 106 and vomiting blood. This morning the doctors said that he's pretty much fighting for his life, and he's in ICU. He's probably 6 or 7 years old. :( He and his family need prayers.

Oh, how awful! :hit I'll definitely keep them in my prayers.

YES! Even if I act like I'm not! :lau

Do tell me your secret! I can't seem to keep those blasted rangers alive.

The more you have, the more you lose...I speak from experience. -_-

IF they had the correct genetics, I'd say #1 & 2 female, 3 male. Though they are getting a little old.
