So speaking of big preds one of the extension office people suggested it was a bear that got Cole However I feel like a bear would've taken the whole carcass and the remains only being 20 from the creek I feel like bear prints would stick out like a sore thumb.

Could it have possibly been an alligator? Do you guys have alligators?

No, an alligator would've dragged the whole carcass underwater to rot so it could eat it. Far as I know there aren't any back there.
