Tryed Hot Waxing....................Can We Say OWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEE

eh. made it 23 years without a bikini wax.

got a Brazilian last year.

LOVED IT

and it only hurt...on the inner workings the rest just goes numb.

I lost a superbowl bet and had to get my back waxed......I don't recommend it. (may be as a replacement for waterboard torture...)

Think 40 yr old virgin....rent it.

The pads that yous swirl around ? thats like very fine sandpaper.. actually it is sandpaper..lol

It works BUT.. well it wont work on some places .. it works fine on arms and some leg parts but ..well.. Its painful .. a little.. just get some fine sandpaper and try it tha tway.. its the same thing..

I dont go for all the nair.. and wax stuff. Gimme a good ole razor and I am gtg.

It does hurt less as you go. At this point everything below my ears is waxed, underarms hurt the worst. I've pondered paying up the 6k to get lazered, but with the beating my retirement funds took, i'll stick to ripping out my own hair.

Rememberthe movie Duece Bigelow~Male Gigilio? That scene where he gets waxed cured me of ever wanting to try it. I have never seen 40 year old Virgin, but I know that chest hair scene was real, and what he was screaming at those friends watching was real. . .saw him on one of the talk shows and he said it was the most painful thing he has ever done in his life. Has anyone tried those stones they are advertising? I thought about getting each of my granddaughters a set for Xmas, save their legs from razor cuts.

I know it's supposed to hurt less the next time....................but I'll have to build up my confidence again,................. maybe LOL.

The promised recipe... and directions in case it helps

ARGGGH the recipes are gone! Gremlins in me kitchen at nite! And the worst part is I just saw it a month or so ago. As soon as I finish typing what I remember of it, it will come dancing out and laugh at me.

I just put a batch in the solar oven... it's 104 in the shade on the porch already, so will probably be 400 in there. (bad idea... it boiled over big time)
I remember it as: (see below for the right proportions... I can't find a strikeout command)
1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup honey, 2 T lemon juice: microwave til all the sugar is dissolved, I think 30 seconds at a time as it will boil over.
LET COOL before using.

I make & store it in a low wide mouth mason 'jar', 8 oz I think. It came with homemade jam in it. Perfect container for this. If it were less sticky I'd make it in something deeper then transfer it over, because it usually boils over at least once.

Nuke it for about 10 sec to soften before using. Use with wood tongue blade or plastic spatula from the brand name stuff.
Smooth on thin layer, in direction of hair growth, smooth on a rectangle of muslin or other fabric, pull skin taut, pull fabric in opposite direction, jump up & down & say oweee, blot with cool wet cloth, pat on witch hazel infused with aloe vera & rosemary. Soak cloths in sink, rinse & hang on tub to dry.
Go have a 'refreshment' of choice

Actually not a bad idea to start with that as well. water... iced tea

**update... Recipe found!

It was in hall closet with the wax. Duh!
Anyway... I was off on proportions... sorry and I hope no one wasted supplies yet. It still works with the above, just not as well.
Juice of Half a Lemon
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
