Trying to drown each other

In the Brooder
I have 8 ducks..started with 3 and then got 5 more. This has happened from the beginning. I have 2 small pools in the pen. When they get in the pool one duck will get on top of one and hold their head down. Today I saw 2 get on top of one. Should I be concerned, is this a playful game or do l need pull the bad girl out? I have also noticed one duck appears to "pick on" and chase one other duck especially when they are getting treats. Can anyone help me?

Also I have heard ducks can change gender....you may be getting a male. If one stops laying eggs then it is broody or it might be a male.

Holey crap i was about to call you a nut. but i found a ton of sites saying its possible
Tranny ducks. Who know it

A female can start to show male characteristics, due to ovary damage for example, but that's certainly not the norm. I'd say that this is more likely just regular dominance behavior. You know the old saying. When you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras. Unless they are hurting each other I wouldn't interfere.

Where you reading this ? Please send link I have 2 males and 1 female I just found out
This is generally for older ducks (and chickens). It is like when a person goes through a hormonal change - they can change features (women get mustaches, etc....)
As well birds can take on characteristics of the opposite gender when one is not present - like my chicken screeches out a crow sometimes, but she is still totally female and lays eggs. There is no rooster to crow for them. I think she hears a neighboring rooster and imitates.
