Trying to Hatch an egg

People with kids or who live with kids have probably all been though this a hen lays an egg and they all say lets hatch it

Well my cousin got one and is trying to hatch it by using her bindy lamp. She has it in a bowl with the bulb close to it. She turns it 3 times a day and mists it with water. I haven't the heart to tell her it probably won't work or will it???

I haven't a clue but its warm but not hot

My aunt(her mother) said shes either gonna get a chick or a rotten egg lol

Oh those were the days....I did the same thing as a kid with wild bird eggs I'd find on the ground

Me too! I remember a long time ago, we went camping and I found a duck egg all by itself. I took it to our camper and tried to hatch it in a sock. Then towards the end of the trip I accidentally cracked it, I didn't want to tell my parents so I dropped it by a rock.

I myself tried it when I was little with a chicken egg from the grocery store

But who knows it might work Im a just fall out if I go in her room one morning and theres a chick sitting there lol

There was no mention of where the egg came from... It does look very well cared for!!

its fertile...The rooster and the hen but on a show a day before this happened lol
