Trying To Help A Chicken Egg Hatch

im not an expert but wrap the moist towel around it if u havnt already and in a few hours check and if it hasnt come out then you will prolly have to help it then.

im on 23rd, and last time i opened was earlier when you said to put a damp paper towel around itv and i did

I raise serama and they can be difficult to hatch out. So I often help them hatch out of their shell. When they are overdue to hatch, chirping but no pipping.

I chip hole in large end and look down inside to see where beak is poking thru the membrane. Gently chip away egg shell to get to the beak area. Careful do not tear shell back too much as membrane will still be attached in some areas. I wet the membrane with finger and enlarge hole so chick can get head and shoulders out and let him rest in the incubator. Usually they will kick free of the egg shell in a few hours.
Do not attempt this if there is any bleeding. Proceed with caution!
And do not cut the cord that runs from shell to chicks bottom until it dries up. Too soon and it will bleed out...

yes and yes! there are 2 other ones that rock back and forth and one u can hear on the inside making pecking noises pecking at the shell, and one chirps sometimes but not verfy often, idk which ones doing what but i know they are.....my mom thinks the interfered one will never live because ive taken it out so much but its still alive.....oh, and the veins are skinny now and dark red
