Trying To Help A Chicken Egg Hatch

well, now Im just sure that Ive killed the interfered chick...it wont move, peck or anything.....but, when i press my finger agaist a certain part of the chick thriugh the membrane, I feel what I think is a heartbeat-although Dad says he doesnt feel it.....is it possibe that the chick is just sleepign or something?

and why does it harm the chick to bust veins in the membrane? isnt the chick gonna bust them all when he/she tries to pop out??

ok how long has it been since you started taking the shell away? and with out opening the bator can you tell if the membrane is dry or not and can you see any veins?

ok with the membrane being dried out it will be like rubber and there is pretty much no chance a chick will get through it by itself. i have never experienced the membrane drying out but i would have to say if its not already gone that you will have to finish what you started.

well, it has stated to move again, so its not a gonerlol,,,,but i am guessing that dried out means that its turned white, right?

Ya, i'm pretty sure if the membrane is white, that its died out.
If its dry, it needs more humidity.
It could have dried out from opening the bator.

yes, when it was damp, i saw throug and could see veins and a yellow chicken inside, just not the beak lol.....and now its almost completely white again

yes. from my experience once the membrane gets dried out it is near impossiable to hydrate it enough for the chick to break through
