I finally got my Dun. Unfortunately there was a mix up with platinum hens so there's blue in there also. Please correct me if Im wrong. This is my first time working with this gene.

The yellow/white is Platinum?

That's the whole hatch. Black I can tell pretty easy. Blue and possibly blue looking dun is where I'm getting a bit confused. Those are blue right and not dun?

So what I see here is left to right Platinum, Khaki, Dun(brown) and either blue or a blue looking dun. Am I right or way off?

Currently mixed breed Easter eggers but I'm trying to bring Dun gene to Ameraucana.
Okay, that explains it then, as in silkies, it's only chocolate that Dun is type, but you can't tell the difference, it's in only in how they were bred. I think. I never delved into it much as I have a chocolate rooster and a chocolate hen, and when they breed, they make chocolate chicks. That's all I need to know.

Lol I have chocolate - Choc gene- sex linked Ameraucana chicks and Dun chocolate chicks. If you mix those you get Beige. I'm pretty interested in that too. I have several project pens.
