Yeah that's what I was thinking, it's twice as heavy as the others though it's feathering out at the same rate. We'll see. But if that's the case that assorted pullet box was mostly males! I pulled out the few who looked different, nearly all of them looked like #2 with the slightly larger comb and heavier body. In the back of my mind I was thinking giants, don't like them but I decided to get one anyway.
We'll see.
I may have an EE for #3 but I've never seen an EE quite that red, and her feet are getting more black on the top. Weird looking chick but I like it, only one like it there!
So we are thinking
1-BSL
2-JG or roo of some type
3-EE? Ideas??????
4-BA
5-RC, BB or SF (leaning more toward SF or BB, I can only find info on bantam RC, these are LF chicks)
6-EE? or BD? (after searching through hundreds of chick pics it looks like a blue delaware, but that's a looooooong shot)
7-GLW
Thanks KDbeads... I was bad and bought 8, went by my wife's workplace and connived her to go pick out 8 also after work lol. We have #s 1, 3, 4, 7 and 4 straight run reds. #7 is GLW as it has the rose comb and I looked over a lot of pictures. *just my opinion*
connive - to show one's spouse cute fuzzybutts and make them jealous they were not there to help pick out the chicks so they have to go get the same amount to make it all equal out on selection
Cute chicks KDbeads.
Hmm....maybe Partridge Rock for #3?
I'm guessing Buff brahma for #5.
#6 reminds me of my Blue Andalusians when they were chicks. Is it a little smaller than the others?
I think you're on track w/ the other guesses.
Yes, #6 is a bit smaller/more petite, not a banty bit still a bit smaller... have to look into the andalusian. Never seen a partridge rock chick before.......off to find pics!!
