Hey all I just went to tsc and well I bought all the chicks in the assorted bantams bin. They are no bigger than a peanut. Any idea of what they might be? All of them have feathered legs all the chicks are yellow but one is black

Will wait for photos....

But without photos, I'd probably guess they're silkies, cochins or d'uccles (probably silkies tho).

If they are pale yellow bantams in the Assorted Bantams bin at TSC, they are most likely Dutch Bearded D'Uccles or Light Brahmas. The black one... clean legs, maybe an auburn face, possibly a white spot on its chest (not always)? Seabright.

here are some pics.. one of the chicks has some dried poo on its backend and it seems like some of it might still be inside her dried how do i get it off i tried to gently pull it off but that didn't work. the black one has feathered legs also.

use a WARM wet washcloth and hold it to the dried poo. It will loosen up and be able to be cleaned away. then put a dab of olive oil or vaseline on the butt with a qtip. This will help keep the poop from sticking. You may have to do it for a couple days.

I got 19 chicks from TSC in WV also... they told me that they came from Mt Healthy Hatchery so you may want to look at what they have on their website. Sometimes they even give pics of what the chicks look like so it will help identify. Have fun!
